Disaster Relief

 
 
Building Firm Foundations For Life has mobilized to assist in relief at the storm site in Moore Oklahoma.  We are supporting CRI (Crisis Response International) CRU (Crisis Response Unit) teams as they attend to the storms victims and support the disaster relief efforts. So far, we have sent:  water, tents, food, drinks, utensils, hand wipes, etc.  These Crisis Response Units will continue to need these items and more.  Join us as we support those that are providing relief!

CRUs (Crisis Response Units) are autonomous chapters of CRI that provide a context for responders, churches or ministries to respond to crisis and disaster in their own communities. CRUs network and partner with local and state officials, local relief efforts and the response community at large. CRUs is a local expression of CRIs vision and values to reach the harvest in crisis and build communities and places of refuge. Built upon the foundation of relationship, CRUs can tap into the values and resources of a global family of responders who long to see great demonstrations of God’s mercy and love in the midst of crisis and disaster.

Scott and Yvonne Spurlin,

founded the Building For Life Traning Center, which houses the offices of, Through the Flame Ministries Inc., Building Firm Foundations For Life and Hope For The City - Hope for the Holidays.  They are proud parents of 4 children and 3 grandchildren. 

 

Yvonne is well known for blending the practical and spiritual  components in addressing the needs of hurting people.  She is an Ordained Minister with Glory of Zion International Ministries in Corinth, Texas.  She has completed training in Crisis Intervention and the Johnson Institute Recovery Ambassador Program.  Yvonne is a Resolution Facilitator and has served in Oklahoma City as a mentor Trainer for the Sister 2 Sister Peer Program.  In addition, she was part of the debriefing sessions following the Murrah Building Bombing.


Scott A. Spurlin has known he was called to 'build' for the Kingdom of God since 1992.  Scott has had great success in the oil-field business for over thirty-eight years.  He is well known and respected by his peers for his amazing abilities and resourcefulness.

 
Scott has traveled several times to China for business and has traveled to other parts of the world for the Kingdom of God.  Scott's love for the Heavenly Father and his intimate experience with the power of God to deliver, heal and restore, compels Scott to take the message of the Gospel of Christ to the nations.  God uses Scott through the practical ministry of building places of worship, clinics, homes and schools; praying for the sick and equipping people with hands on practical training for successful living and Christian Business Ethics.
